Too much inflammation is not good for the body. It is commonly associated with many chronic diseases. Choosing the right foods to eat can help reduce inflammation in the body. Omega 3 fatty acids are important in our diet as our body cannot manufacture them on its own. Having a good balance of omega 3's can help minimize inflammation in the body. Oily fish found in cold water is a good source of omega 3's. Salmon is known to have the highest content when compared to other fish. If you don't like to eat fish, you can get fish oil in the form of a supplement.

Whole grains are the best choice when eating pasta and breads. They contain a lot more nutrients than pasta or breads made with refined flour. They also contain more fiber which helps to prevent weight gain. Whole grains are not as easily converted to sugar or fat in the body. They will help to reduce inflammation.

Berries such as blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are loaded with antioxidants which help to reduce inflammation and free radicals in the body. Orange vegetables are also great to help reduce inflammation. They contain vitamin A and beta-carotene which are effective for inflammation.

Pineapple is an excellent fruit to help fight inflammation. It contains bromelain which is powerful against inflammation. It also contains vitamin C which works well to decrease pain and swelling with the bromelain. You can get it in supplement form for easy consumption.

Spinach is a super vegetable that is loaded in antioxidants and vitamins. It also contains vitamin E and carotenoids which are good for inflammation. Broccoli is also good for inflammation. It contains vitamin C and calcium. It is known to help inflammation in the eye. Onions are also great to help with inflammation. They contain quercitin which is effective in blocking pathways in the body that cause inflammation.

Ginger is yet another food for inflammation. It also contains compounds that work effectively against inflammation. It is often added to foods to add flavor. If you don't like the flavor of ginger, you can also find it in supplement form. Turmeric is also excellent. It is also used to spice up food. It contains a substance called curcumin which effectively fights against inflammation. It can also be found in many different supplements. Using these super foods and avoiding junk foods and other unhealthy foods will help you to fight inflammation and live a healthier life.
